When I started training I was skinny as a rake. If you think you know someone skinnier than I was think again. At 6'7" (200cm) tall and 154lbs (70kg) the only people skinnier than me were in hospital. My 'big' arm was a whopping 11.5" (30cm). At my height it looked like I had flabby fluorescent tubes for arms. But here comes the exciting part...

In my first three months training I put on an incredible 44lbs (20kg) of muscle and my strength doubled. In six months I had gained 2.5" on each arm.

Best news yet is that I know you can do it too - all 7 of us who started training together made similar gains. If they started out chubby, they gained noticeable amounts of muscle and lost fat off their gut. If they were skinny they made massive muscle gains. My skinny arms had grown from an embarrassing 11.5" to a cold 20.5". To be honest I was fatter but I was HUGE. About Conan Stevens

At 17 years old and 154lbs (70kg) at nearly 7 feet tall Conan was as skinny as a rake and hated it. He hated being picked on, being the butt of jokes, being unable to defend himself physically, and unable to date the girls he wanted.

6 years later Conan was the Australian Professional Wrestling Champion, was performing in the National Ballet at the Sydney Opera House, dating a beautiful multi-millionaire business woman, and running a private security firm 'cleaning up' known trouble spots. Without bodybuilding none of this would have been possible for Conan.

Now 16 years later (9 years off training due to a rare nerve disorder) he is now back as big as ever and has made it as a Movie Star in Asia.

Why This Book?

When I was young I was skinny and hated it, I hated my body and wish that I wasn't born like this. I thought there was nothing I could do about it.

Luckily I had some friends introduce me to bodybuilding and I was able to build a new body, with this came self confidence, and with this came a new personality and outlook on life.

I gained muscle, I stopped hating life, and started loving the challenges and success that each day brings.

I can honestly say that Bodybuilding has been the single biggest positive influence in my life. Everything I have experienced and achieved has been solely due to bodybuilding.

At the beginning I drew inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger then as we started training I got inspiration from the big guys at the local gym. But the big guys always took some time out to help us skinny kids who were trying their guts out.

The knowledge we had was all second hand, the best we would get was a Bodybuilder from our city visiting California, America and bringing back a bunch of rumours on what the latest tactics and training styles were.
